How We Got Here
The idea came from working with a mid-sized retail chain in Taipei that was losing
around 8% of transactions to system errors. Not fraud, not chargebacks — just plain
technical failures. Their provider kept saying it was normal. It wasn't.
We spent six months building a custom solution that cut their error rate to under
0.3%. Word spread faster than we expected. By mid-2024, we were handling payment
automation for seventeen businesses across Taiwan, from online marketplaces to
brick-and-mortar stores trying to modernize their checkout flow.
What surprised us most wasn't the technical challenges — those we could solve. It was
how many businesses were putting up with systems that clearly weren't working because
they thought the problems were inevitable. They're not. Good payment processing shouldn't
require constant workarounds or manual fixes.
